If all goes according to plan, there could be a Wendy’s fast food restaurant coming to 1247 Trinity Drive where a McDonalds used to be.

A company called JEA Restaurant Group/Wen Acquisitions is making a presentation about the project at the next Planning and Zoning Board meeting May 22.

The application calls for a demolition of the building that is already at the site.

According to a letter from Craig Calvert of Modulus Architects addressed to Terry Priestly, chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the restaurant would also feature a one-lane drive through window and the 2163-square foot building would sit on 1.3 acres of land.

The plans on file at the Planning and Zoning Office depict a graphic mock up of a building with a “Wendy’s” fast food logo on it.

The restaurant is depicted in earth tones with a “Wendy’s Red” façade.

According to an official at the planning and zoning commission, it is not certain that is what type of restaurant is going to be built there, as the companies making the application work with many different restaurant chains according to an official at the Los Alamos Planning and Zoning office.
