For the second night in a row, the Albuquerque Isotopes couldn't hang on to an early lead against the Oklahoma City RedHawks and lost more ground against the Round Rock Express in the division race.

The RedHawks scored eight runs in the final four innings Tuesday in Albuquerque to win 9-5. The Isotopes socred three times in the bottom of the first and twice more in the bottom of the fourth to go up 5-0 before the RedHawks rallied late.

Albuquerque has two more games with Oklahoma City in this series, including a 7:05 p.m. start time today. Following that Albuquerque will entertain New Orleans for a four-game set.

Albuquerque got on the board in the first thanks to a two-run double by Russell Mitchell, who scored one batter later on a single by Trayvon Robinson.

After Albuquerque's two runs in the fourth — Robinson hit a two-run home run in that inning — it was all RedHawks. In the seventh, the RedHawks strung together three hits, a hit batsman and a catcher's interference call to score three times to get their late-inning rally going in earnest.

Monday, Albuquerque jumped out to a 5-1 lead after three innings but Oklahoma City rallied for four runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth to earn an 8-7 victory at Isotopes Park.

Heading into Monday's game, the Isotopes had won three straight to finish off a road trip to Nashville.

Round Rock, which has gone 6-1 since the All-Star break, upped its lead to a season-high eight games with its 15-6 win over New Orleans Tuesday combined with Albuquerque's loss.
