Softball game will be on KRSN

KRSN AM 1490 will broadcast Wednesday’s softball game.

Los Alamos will play Taos in its 2AAAA opener. Game time is 4 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live from Overlook Park in White Rock. It will also be streamed on the station’s Web site, krsnam1490.com.

Local Senior Olympics registration opens Thursday

Registrations for the 2010 Los Alamos Senior Olympic Games will start Thursday.

Registration for the Games will be open until April 15. Competition is slated from April 28-May 28 in locations around the county except for bowling, which will be held in Española.

In all, 22 events are scheduled during the competition period.

Registration forms are available at the Family YMCA of Los Alamos, Betty Ehart Senior Center, White Rock Senior Center and both branches of Mesa Public Library.

Price for participation is $20.

Volunteers needed for Thursday’s home track meet

The Los Alamos Hilltopper boys and girls track and field teams are looking for volunteers to work their upcoming home meet.

The meet will be held Thursday at 3 p.m.

Anyone interested in volunteering may contact Los Alamos High School athletic secretary Sondra Wyman at s.wyman@laschools.net.

Native American 5K registration is open online

Registration for the third annual Native American National Championships 5K run is now open.

The race will be held June 12 in Albuquerque.

To qualify for the event, athletes must be an enrolled tribal member in the United States or Canada. Verification must be presented.
