Coed volleyball league starting at YMCA

The Family YMCA of Los Alamos is currently accepting registrations for its adult coed volleyball league.
League matches are played on a men’s height net (7 feet, 11 inches). Recreation and competitive divisions are planned, but at least four competitive teams are needed.
Play will be Sundays at the YMCA gym starting at 11 a.m. The season is scheduled from Jan. 22-March 25 and ends in a tournament.

LA girls take third at Albuquerque swim meet

The Los Alamos Hilltopper girls swimming team took third place and the Hilltopper boys took sixth place in the Albuquerque Public Schools Invitational Saturday.
Los Alamos’ girls finished with 86 points in the meet, while Los Alamos’ boys picked up 35 points.
Both the boys and girls competitions were won by Eldorado. Las Cruces was second in the girls team standings and Hobbs was second in the boys.
