’Topper baseball game postponed Wednesday

The Los Alamos Hilltopper baseball team’s game with the Capital Jaguars, which was set for Wednesday afternoon, was postponed. No make up date has been announced.
Los Alamos manager Mike Gill reported Wednesday around noon that Bomber Field still had big clumps of snow, some as deep as three inches, in spots. The snows were from storms on Monday night and Tuesday morning .
The Hilltoppers are currently sitting at 4-1 in District 2-4A play (12-6) overall. They split a doubleheader against Española Valley Saturday but are still one game ahead of Española Valley in the 2-4A standings.

Chamber golf tourney is May 11 in Española

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 11 at Black Mesa Golf Course in Española.
Tournament registration is open to everyone.
Price for participation is $90 per player, which includes greens fees, golf cart, dinner at Black Mesa and participation in a silent auction. Proceeds go to benefit the United Way of Northern New Mexico.

Waffle breakfast is set for April 14

The Hilltopper baseball program will hold a waffle breakfast fundraiser April 14 at the Masonic Lodge on 15th Street.
Breakfast will be from 7:30-10 a.m. Price is $6 per person.
The breakfast menu includes waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon and beverage.
Proceeds will go to purchase equipment for the program and cover travel expenses.
