LA girls top Taos at home

The Los Alamos Hilltopper girls basketball team tripled the offensive output of the Taos Tigers in the first quarter Tuesday.
The score after one quarter: 3-1.
But the Hilltoppers picked up the offense in the second quarter, while the Tigers (3-11) didn’t. The Hilltoppers outscored the Tigers 21-5 in that quarter as they rolled to a 51-28 victory at Griffith Gymnasium.
The win for Los Alamos (7-8) snapped a two-game skid ahead of a tough pair of road games this weekend, at Sandia and at Grants.
