Junior wrestling starting up at YMCA

Registration is open for the Family YMCA of Los Alamos’ Junior Wrestling program.
Registration is open to boys and girls in grades K-6, as well as beginning wrestlers in grades 7-8. The program is limited to 20 students.
Practices are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the YMCA’s gymnasium from 4:15-5:30 p.m. The season runs from Jan. 14-April 25.
Price for each session is $60 for YMCA members, $90 for nonmembers.
There are also separate competitive tournaments going on during the season.

County offering skate lessons at ice rink

There is still space available for the final session of ice skating lessons for the year will start this week.
Lessons are taught by Los Alamos County staff at the county’s ice rink.

JMTR set for May 24

The ninth annual Jemez Mountain Trail Runs’ registration for its 50-mile and 50-kilometer races are now open online.
The JMTR is scheduled for May 24.

LAYSL spring registration open

Registration is now open for the spring 2014 Los Alamos Youth Soccer League season.
Online registration can be done through Feb. 10.
