Beltane Sabbat on April 27

Our Lady of the Woods will celebrate Beltane with a ritual, feast and May pole dance, 2 p.m. April 27 at the grove in front of the Unitarian Church. 

The Beltane sabbat marks the beginning of the summer for the Celts. 

The potluck feast will give way to songs, dance and stories. 


Day of Prayer set for May 1

National Day of Prayer. Noon May 1 at Ashley Pond. The 63rd annual National Day of Prayer. 

More than a million Americans will unite at more than 42,000 locations from coast to coast to pray for the nation. This year’s theme is “One Voice, United in Prayer” based on Romans 15:6.
