Aug. 4


11 p.m. — Phillip McFerrine, 22, of Los Alamos, was charged with criminal trespass at the Mesa Meadow Pool.


11:10 p.m. — Donaven Vanwijkweijer, 18 of Los Alamos, was charged with criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in the 1400 block of 40th Street.


Aug. 6


Protesters arrested 


Six anti-nuclear demonstrators were arrested around 9 a.m. near the Los Alamos National Laboratory, at the intersection of Diamond Road and W. Jemez Road.

 The protestors were: Benjamin Abbott, 29, of Albuquerque; Barbara Grothus, 59, of Albuquerque; Cathie Sullivan, 73, of Santa Fe, Pamela Gilchrist, 73, of Santa Fe; Catherine Euler, 48, of Tucson and Janet Greenwald, 66, of Albuquerque.

They were all charged with obstructing movement, refusing to obey and officer and trespassing. 

They were all released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.


Aug. 7


8:12 p.m. –– James Herwig, 70, of Los Alamos, was arrested on a charge of abandoning vehicles at the 2200 block of Loma Linda Drive.


Aug. 8


12:51 a.m. –– David Rael, 34, of Los Alamos, was arrested for driving with a suspended license on Canyon Road.

  2:35 p.m. –– Joseph Fawcett, 31, of Los Alamos, was arrested on a magistrate court warrant at 2500 Trinity Drive.
