PEEC hosts PBS Science Café

-A A +A

What would it be like to see the world from a bird’s perspective? To experience riding on the backs of bald eagles, snow geese, and pelicans flying over Alaska, the Grand Canyon, the Great Plains, and the Golden Gate Bridge as they encounter and engage with bears, bison and spawning fish.
“Earthflight: Birds of North America” is being shown from 10 a.m.-noon at the Nature Center and sponsored by the Pajarito Environmental Education Center.
The program is part of the New Mexico PBS Science Café. The public is welcome to watch a segment of the six-part series, “Earthflight: A Nature Special Presentation.”
In addition, there is a public discussion with Stephen Fettig, Wildlife Biologist, who will explore a range of topics from feathers to migration to bird diversity and the tree of life.
This will be the last presentation of the New Mexico PBS Science Cafes for the summer and will return Sept. 19.
Admission to the Science Café is free but a reservation is required. RSVP to Rose Poston, Community Outreach Coordinator, New Mexico PBS Education & Outreach Department, at 277-2396 or rposton@newmexicopbs.org, or online at newmexicopbs.org/science-central.
