The Española Public Library is holding a gift-making workshop for children ages 3-17 from 9 a.m.-noon Thurssday. Gift include a holiday card, chocolate spoon, trinket box, photo ornament and a miniature cookie tin with homemade cookies. Elves wishing to participate in the cookie-baking workshop should bring an empty Altoid or similar tin. All other supplies will be provided.  The workshop is free but registration is required due to limited supplies. The Young Natives Arts and Crafts Sale will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Palace of the Govenors in Santa Fe. Roxanne Swentzell presents a winter show entitled, “Things That Dangle,” from 5-8 p.m.

The New Mexico Museum of Art presents the hand-carved marionettes of Gustave Baumann, a Santa Fe arts legend. During the free Annual Holiday Open House, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, the historic marionettes perform two short plays for children of all ages.
