Power to ski hill, ice rink also restored

Power has been restored to the Pajarito Ski Area and the county ice rink, according to county officials. The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities was working to restory power to the area since Wednesday.

N.M. State Road 4, the last remaining road closed after Wednesday’s windstorm, is now open, according to the Los Alamos Police Department. The roadway that was closed is located starting on Los Alamos National Laboratory property, passed the main gate from the intersection of NM 501 and NM State Road 4 to Jemez Springs Village. The closure was caused by fallen trees that had blocked the roadway. Los Alamos police responded Wednesday after the department received reports of multiple cars that had become trapped on the road because of falling trees. There were no injuries.
