Wondering what to do with those herbs out in your garden as the warm weather wanes? Did you know herbs can be harvested now and stored for winter use?

Tuesday, join instructor Martha Davis at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center for a demonstration on how to dry, process and otherwise store herbs. In addition, she will give an introduction to a variety of herbs and how to use them throughout the year. She will share recipes using stored herbs and demonstrate how to make herbal pastes and vinegars. There will be an opportunity to taste test some items.

The two-hour class will begin at 6 p.m. at PEEC, located at 3540 Orange St. The fee for nonmembers is $16, and $14.50 for PEEC members. Please pre-register for this class by calling the PEEC office at 662-0460 or online at www.PajaritoEEC.org.
