The Los Alamos Hilltopper girls basketball team split its two road games this weekend against Sandia and Grants.

The Hilltoppers nipped the Sandia Matadors Friday night 41-40, but fell to the Grants Pirates 53-45 Saturday. The split of the two games puts Los Alamos’ season record at 8-9 heading into the start of the District 2-4A season tonight against Bernalillo.
Against Sandia (3-10), Los Alamos guard Amber Logan finished with 13 points to pace the team.
Unfortunately, Los Alamos couldn’t earn the road win the following night against Grants (10-6), which is currently ranked No. 11 in 4A.
