The Los Alamos boys basketball team was unable to play its scheduled game against Española Valley on Saturday.
The game was cancelled due to the involvement of an Española Valley junior varsity player in a shooting that happened Friday night in a convenience store near Española, according to the Albuquerque Journal.
The game was rescheduled to Feb. 6 at Griffith Gym. Tip-off is still set for 7 p.m.
It was Los Alamos’ second straight cancelled game, as the Hilltoppers haven’t played since defeating Albuquerque Academy on Jan. 20. Los Alamos has only played two games in the past two weeks.
