The Los Alamos Hilltopper hockey team returns to regular season action today when it takes on the Albuquerque OutKast.

Los Alamos will meet Albuquerque at the Outpost Ice Arena. Game time is set for 10 a.m.

The Hilltoppers (9-1-1) are currently sitting in second place in New Mexico Interscholastic Ice Hockey League standings, half a game behind league-leading Taos (9-1). Heading into today's game, the Hilltoppers are one point ahead of the Outkast, which are in third place in the standings.

Los Alamos and Albuquerque met in Los Alamos' last regular season game before the holiday break. The two teams played to a scoreless tie Dec. 18. Today's game will be the second and final meeting of the regular season between the two.

The Hilltoppers did take part in the Mid-Season Tournament two weeks ago in Taos. They finished 1-1-1 in three exhibition games.

For the Hilltoppers, Devin Grider is the top-ranked goalkeeper in NMIIHL and Jade Castello is the second-leading scorer in the state.

Los Alamos' next home game is set for Friday against St. Pius X.
