The Los Alamos junior varsity girls soccer team won this weekend’s Soccer at the Rock Tournament.

Los Alamos won all three of its contests in the tournament, played at Overlook Park in White Rock. The tournament started Friday and concluded Saturday.

“I am really proud of this team, how they played and what they were able to accomplish,” Los Alamos JV coach Gary Ahlers said. “Our goal ratio of 21-to-1 (goals for-goals against) was just phenomenal, all the while executing a brand new formation for our girls.”

Los Alamos’ JV topped Los Alamos’ C-team in the championship game at the tournament.

Los Alamos forward Amy Neal had six goals at Soccer at the Rock. Other top Los Alamos performers included goalkeeper Leslie Cort, fullback Shelby Keffeler, and midfielders Bethany Haines and Gina Stroud.

Stroud finished with a goal as well.
