Night with a Nerd at 6 p.m. at projectY Cowork, 150 Central Park Square. BSMA members are free, cost is $10 for others. Alan Carr, the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s historian, will talk about how the lab originated and how it evolved into the institution it is today. Gentle Walk
at 9 a.m. at the Nature Center. A gentle walk for which the emphasis is on discovery, not mileage gained. Free. More information at peecnature.org.

The Olions will present the musical: “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 7 p.m. at Los Alamos High School, 1300 Diamond Drive. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $5 for children under 6.

Los Alamos Little Theatre will present, “Secondary Cause of Death,” at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at 1670 Nector St. Inspector Pratt arrives at Bagshot House with grim news for Colonel Craddock, but that’s just the beginning. Cost is $14 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.

Astronomy Show: Equinox and Rebirth at 7 p.m. at the Nature Center.
Join Dr. Erica Fogerty to discover the origin of the equinox, spring rebirth, and stellar nurseries. 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Admission: $6/adult, $4/child.

Masonic Waffle Breakfast from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at Los Alamos Pajarito Masonic Lodge 66 at 15th Street and Canyon Drive. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 and under. Event will benefit the Boy Scout Troop 222.
