Los Alamos Little Theatre will present “Murder at the Lone Elm,” by Miles Ledoux at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St. An interactive murder mystery: when a guest at the Lone Elm Inn falls down the stairs to his death, the head of hotel security suspects foul play. She rounds up the most likely suspects and tries to determine “whodunit” before the killer claims more victims. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for seniors and children. Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos will meet from noon-1 p.m. in Kelly Hall at Trinity-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church, 3900 Trinity Drive. Lillian Petersen will speak on her high school science fair project.

The Rotary Club of Los Alamos will meet from noon-1 p.m. at the Los Alamos Golf Course. Cindy Delgado will speak about the Dale Carnegie Institute.

“Becoming the Atomic City, Community Growth and Change in Los Alamos during the Cold War,” at 7 p.m. at Fuller Lodge, as part of the Los Alamos Historical Society’s lecture series. Anthropologist Samuel Buelow will examine the everyday experience of Los Alamos residents during the Cold War to better understand both the transformation of the community and its role in greater geopolitics.
WEDNESDAY
Los Alamos Chapter No. 63, Order of the Eastern Star, will host its business meeting starting at 7 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge, North Sage Street, (on the corner of 15th and Canyon). This month’s meeting is the first business meeting of the new year. Social meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month.
