Burnside is the best predictor this week

Patricia Burnside had the best prediction at this week’s Atomic City Roadrunners’ Pace Race.
This week’s Pace Race was Tuesday on Barranca Mesa.
Burnside, competing on the 3-mile course, was off by just three seconds off her actual finish time to top all other predictions. Roxana Candia was off by 14 seconds on the 3-mile course and Lynn Klugel was off by an adjusted time of 15 seconds on the 1-mile course.
In all, 27 runners and walkers took part in this week’s Pace Race.
On the 1-mile course, Zachary Medin finished in 7 minutes, 44 seconds. Camille Rousculp and Melina Burnside both finished in 8:04.
On the long course, Ted Romero finished in 21:24. Nikol Strother posted a time of 25:32.
The next Pace Race is 6 p.m. Tuesday. The race starts at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center. The 1-mile course will be on pavement but the 3-mile course will go down the canyon to Graduation Point.
