The North Road Intersection is scheduled to reopen Friday, barring weather or mechanical delays. At this time, a left turn lane from Diamond to North Road will be reinstated. Motorists will be able to make a free right turn from North Road onto Diamond; left turns from North Road to Diamond will not be allowed.

Access to Ridgeway from Diamond will remain closed; use Sandia. Right turns from Ridgeway onto Diamond will be permitted; however, left turns from Ridgeway onto Diamond will not be allowed.

Once the North Road intersection is reopened, traffic throughout the entire Phase 3 work zone will be switched to the west side of the roadway so crews can begin excavation of the east side of the project. Near the First Baptist Church, crews will be working on the median section of the roadway. One lane in each direction will be established on either side of the median in this area. No left turns will be allowed within the Phase 3 workzone.

The left turn lane from Diamond to North Lane will be closed again in approximately 1 ½ weeks to allow for utility tie-ins on the east side of Diamond. At this time, motorists traveling to North Community or Quemazon will be required to use the Arkansas signal once again until utility tie-ins are complete.

Questions? Concerns? The Public Works Department Director and Utilities’ Staff are available to discuss the project at Film Festival in the Hilltop Shopping Center each Monday afternoon from 3:30–4:30 p.m. so drop by with questions or concerns.
