Boys soccer falls in tournament final

The Los Alamos boys soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Saturday night, falling 2-1 to Los Lunas in the championship match of the Louie Cernicek Invitational Tournament at Sullivan Field.
Senior Jordan Arballo scored both goals for Los Lunas.
The Hilltoppers advanced to the championship game by defeating Roswell Goddard 5-0 in the tournament semifinals on Saturday morning. Los Lunas defeated Roswell 2-0 in its semifinal match to advance to the final.
Los Alamos (3-1) returns to action with a pair of road matches this weekend. The ’Toppers play at Piedra Vista at 5 p.m. Friday, then play at Farmington at 11 a.m. Saturday.
