Los Alamos Community of Atheists will have the monthly discussion meeting 6:30 to 8 p.m. upstairs at Mesa Public Library. All are welcome. The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be 6:00 p.m. in Building No. 1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. Brittany Koukol and Brian Arnst will give a presentation about the BEAR. (“Bonding through Experiential Adventures in Recovery”) program, which is an intensive outpatient treatment program for young people based in Santa Fe. The public is welcome to attend.

The Santa Fe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico presents a free talk “New Mexico Forests: Past, Present, and Future,” by Craig D. Allen, USGS Research Ecologist, Jemez Mountains Field Station, Los Alamos. The meeting is 6:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1701 Arroyo Chamiso in Santa Fe. Free and open to the public.
