Wildflower Walk. Join Chick Keller, curator of PEEC’s Jemez Mountain Herbarium, for an easy walk to learn the names of local wildflowers. A plant list will be provided so participants can keep track of what they see. Meet at PEEC at 5:30 p.m. to carpool or caravan to the trailhead. Free, no registration required. Summer Family Evenings at PEEC: Sea Otters and the Challenges of Rehabilitation. Veteran marine mammal rehabilitator Esta Lee Albright will give an interactive presentation about her work as a rehabilitator of orphaned sea otters. The Los Alamos Tuff Riders mountain bike club rides have started. Tuesday and Thursday rides start at Sullivan Field at 5:30 p.m. and go as long as there is daylight. Saturday rides are at 9 a.m. at the roundabout. These are cross-country rides at beginner through advance levels of skill and fitness. Newcomers are welcome. Helmets are required.
