The Sierra Club will have a public meeting at 7 p.m. in the Upstairs Meeting Rooms, Mesa Public Library.  

Los Alamos Lions Club meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month. Those interested in the Lions Club should call Dennis Wulff at 672-9563 or email  drwulff47@aol.com.

The Mesa Public Library Free Film Series presents, “Almost Famous,” at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs meeting rooms of Mesa Public Library.

 The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series presents, “Tron, Legacy,” at 7 p.m. in the White Rock Town Hall.

A Flock of Flutists featuring students, amateurs and professionals from Los Alamos, Pecos, Eldorado, Albuquerque and Santa Fe will perform a free concert at 2 p.m. at Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road. Students and ensembles coached by Carol Redman and Sasha Garver will perform an assortment of flute music. Solos, duos, trios and quartets by Mozart, Rachmanioff, Bizet, Bach and more. Reception following the concert.

Field trip to the Leonora Curtin Wetland Preserve, led by docent Natali Steinberg.  Meet at noon at PEEC.  Bring lunch, water. Free, but let PEEC know you’re coming, 662-0460 or programs@pajaritoeec.org.

The next meeting of the Summit Garden Club will feature a lecture and tour of the gardens at the home of Los Alamos landscape designer Kathy Strong, with a second tour of a low-maintenance, no grass, landscape, currently in the midst of construction.
