The University of New Mexico athletic department announced that season tickets for the 2010-11 men’s basketball season will go on sale Tuesday.

The UNM Lobos, whose roster includes former Los Alamos Hilltopper standout Alex Kirk, have 18 home games scheduled for this season. Games at the newly renovated University Arena (The Pit) include a pair of exhibitions, eight non-conference contests and the Mountain West slate.

To start the year, four of UNM’s first five games will be at The Pit.

Season tickets will be on sale at UNM’s ticket office.

Last year, the Lobos went 30-5 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA championship tournament.

"We are very excited about our schedule," UNM head coach Steve Alford said in a press release. "We put it together thinking Darrington (Hobson) would be back for his senior year, and there are several BCS conference teams on it, which is why it is as difficult as it is. It should give our players good experience before (UCLA transfer) Drew Gordon becomes eligible. It's a difficult schedule and it gives us a chance to prepare for a very
difficult league."
Prices for season tickets start at $252 for adults and $144 for youth.

Tickets can be purchased at the UNM Ticket Office at 1155 University
Blvd. in Albuquerque Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Tickets can also be purchased online at www.golobos.com or www.unmtickets.com, or by calling the ticket office at 505-925-5858.
