Ice cream social

  The Los Alamos Historical Society will hold its annual meeting and ice cream social at 7:30 p.m. today at Fuller Lodge.

LAPS Board meeting

  The Los Alamos Public School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. today in the LAPS boardroom.

Meet the chief

  The public is invited to meet the county’s new Economic Vitality Director Scott Frederick during an open house from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fuller Lodge.

LAFRW meeting

  The Los Alamos Federation of Republican Women’s May meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursdsay at the home of Rosie Shalek, 901 Circle Dr. Guest speaker Heather McClenahan will talk about the proposed Manhattan Project National Historical Park. LAGS meeting

The Los Alamos Genealogical Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 3 of the Mesa Public Library.   The Democratic Party of Los Alamos, KRSN and the Monitor are sponsoring a debate between House candidates Pete Sheehey and Stephanie Richard at 7 p.m. Thursday at UNM-LA Lecture Hall.
