Get your waffle fix

  The Los Alamos High School baseball team is having a waffle breakfast from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday at the Masonic Lodge, located at 15th Street and Canyon Road, to help raise funds for uniforms, equipment and travel. The full breakfast of homemade waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea and juice will cost $6 per person.

P.E.O. meeting

  The Chapter AK of  P.E.O. International will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the home of Linda Anderson. The meeting will open with special guest speaker Gary Storkin, who will talk about an alternative approach to allergy treatment.

U.S.-Russia Weapons Treaty

  Arms control expert and ex-NNSA chief Linton Brooks will talk on “New START and Beyond” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the meeting room at the new Holiday Inn Express. The talk is sponsored by the Los Alamos Committee on Arms Control and International Security and open to the public.

Amateur radio license testing

  The Los Alamos Volunteer Examiner group will host the second of the quarterly exam sessions for Amateur Radio Licenses at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the “Old Fire Barn,” located at 4017 Arkansas in the upstairs meeting room. LWV monthly luncheon

  The League of Women Voters will host its monthly Lunch with a Leader from 11:45 a.m.

-12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Central Avenue Grill where all meals including tax and tip are just $13.50. The speaker will be County Administrator Anthony Mortillaro who will address the “State of the County,” which will touch on the budget, KRSN, capital projects and Trinity Site. Of course, he will be happy to answer questions from those at the luncheon.
