Christmas lights

  Thursday will be the last night of the Christmas lights at the pond.  The Central Avenue lights on the poles will be unplugged as well.  The wreathes and garlands will be removed at the end of the month. 

Art board meets Thursday

  There will be a special meeting of the Art in Public Places Board from 4-6 p.m. Thursday in the Nambé Room of Fuller Lodge.

Don’t miss Trio Solisti

Los Alamos Concert Association will present Trio Solisti at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Duane Smith Auditorium. Individual concert tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for seniors, with a second ticket costing $25.  

Youth ages 5-18 may attend at no charge, but must have a ticket. Children must be at least 5 years old to attend concerts and an adult must accompany those who are younger than age 12.

Tickets may be purchased at CB Fox, Otowi Station Bookstore, Smith’s Food and Drug in White Rock and Nicholas Potter Bookseller in Santa Fe.

Co-op loan kick-off gala

 The Los Alamos Co-op Market will host a Member Loan Kick-Off Gala at

6 p.m. Saturday at the new Holiday Inn Express at Entrada. There will be wine and hors d’oeuvres, plus a reading of the original play “Plots,” written by local playwright Bob Benjamin and starring Jody Shepard and Larry Gibbons. The program is open to everyone in the community.

‘Castles and Clans’ exhibit

  Mesa Public Library Art Gallery will show the exhibit Scotland: Castles and Clans, The Legends and Paintings of Scotland by local artist Karol Mack. The artist reception will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.
