For Los Alamos' boys soccer team, a tie was a win for the team Saturday against Capital.
The 'Toppers tied Capital, 2-2, to hold on to first place in District 2-5A and put themselves in the driver's seat to win the district crown.
Los Alamos is now 3-0-1 in the district while second-place Capital is 2-1-1.
After falling behind 2-0, the 'Toppers rallied back and scored a pair of goals in the last 15 minutes of regulation. Alex Csanadi scored both goals on penalty kicks.
Los Alamos' girls soccer team stayed undefeated in District 2-5A with a 6-0 win against Capital. It was the team's seventh straight shutout. The Hilltopper girls are now 4-0 in the district.
