Three Los Alamos High School student-athletes have signed Letters of Intent to extend their playing careers at the next level.
Sienna Ahlers, Jacob Mairson and Tristen Roach partook in signing day festivities Wednesday at LAHS.
Ahlers signed to play soccer at Wingate University, Mairson signed a proffered walk-on commitment to be apart of the University of New Mexico football program and Roach inked his name to Adam State University’s men’s soccer 2017 recruiting class.
In three seasons with the Los Alamos girls soccer program, Ahlers became one of the most prolific attacking players in Hilltopper history. She tallied 58 goals and 39 assists during her Los Alamos career.
In 2016, Ahlers led the Hilltoppers with 24 goals and a state-leading 21 assists, which led her to winning District 2-5A’s offensive player of the year and a Class 5A all-state first team selection. She helped Los Alamos to a 16-6 record and state semifinals appearance.
During her junior season, Ahlers led Los Alamos with 23 goals and 12 assists, while helping the Hilltoppers reach the Class 5A state championship game. In 2014, she amassed 11 goals and finished the season with six assists.
Ahlers has also been a member of the Los Alamos girls basketball and track and field teams.
