Isotopes win both ends of home doubleheader Thursday

For the second night in a row, the Albuquerque Isotopes couldn't hang on to an early lead against the Oklahoma City RedHawks and lost more ground against the Round Rock Express in the division race. The RedHawks scored eight runs in the final four innings Tuesday in Albuquerque to win 9-5. The Isotopes socred three times in the bottom of the first and twice more in the bottom of the fourth to go up 5-0 before the RedHawks rallied late. Albuquerque has two more games with Oklahoma City in this series, including a 7:05 p.m. start time today. Following that Albuquerque will entertain New Orleans for a four-game set.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Prosecutors will not file charges against a University of New Mexico football player who was arrested after wearing saggy pants on a plane at San Francisco airport. San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe announced Wednesday his office had reviewed the June 15 arrest of Deshon Marman and determined criminal charges were not warranted. Marman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, battery of a police officer and obstruction after police say he refused to leave the US Airways flight on the captain's orders.

UNM women’s football clinic set ALBUQUERQUE — The Lobo Football Women’s Clinic will be July 29 in Albuquerque. The clinic will be from 6:30-10 p.m. at the UNM Football Complex. Registration will continue between now and the event and walk-ups will be welcomed. The clinic is available for women of all ages and is designed to give an all encompassing look into the game of football. Price for participation is $40.
