LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming completed the majority of its game preparations before traveling to Albuquerque on Wednesday for the New Mexico Bowl, where the Cowboys will face Temple, coach Dave Christensen said.
“We’re focused in and ready to go,” Christensen said, adding that he was pleased with the four practices held in Laramie since last week.
The New Mexico Bowl is noon Saturday at University Stadium. It’s Wyoming’s second New Mexico Bowl appearance in three years. The Cowboys beat Fresno State 35-28 in double OT in 2009.
Both teams enter with 8-4 records, and Wyoming is looking for its first nine-win season since 1996.
