The Los Alamos girls’ tennis team beat Capital, St. Michael’s and Santa Fe High School to win the Capital City Quad Saturday.
Against Capital, Los Alamos used an entirely different lineup than it did in its other two matches and still pulled out the victory, 6-3.
Serena Bimbaun scored a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles. Mary Brug and Abby Schmalz lost close matches at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively, but Mykyla Hanawalt, Janalle Pena and Christie Djidjev pulled out victories.
Los Alamos also won two of the three doubles matches against Capital.
Against St. Michael’s, Los Alamos put its top players on the court and scored a 9-0 victory.
At No. 1 -6 singles, Sidra Hsieh-Ratliff, Lauryn Anaya, Katya Skurikhin, Michelle Alexander, Maia Menefee and Kayla Parker all won their matches in straight sets.
In doubles, Hsieh-Ratliff and Skurikhin won at No. 1, Anaya and Menefee won at No. 2 while Anna Lemke and Rachelle Stokes won at No. 3.
Against Santa Fe, Los Alamos won five the six singles matches to win the match. Doubles weren’t played.
Hsieh-Ratliff scored another win at No. 1 to improve to 6-0 overall.
Anaya, Skurikhin, Alexander and Parker also won their singles matches to lock up the team win.
