Kirk begins NBA summer league this Saturday

Beginning Saturday, Alex Kirk will be wearing a Memphis Grizzlies jersey. Five days later, he’ll put on a New York Knicks jersey.
After playing in the NBA summer league for two different squads, Kirk hopes he’ll be able to wear one of those jerseys next year as well.
Kirk’s tryouts will begin in Orlando with the Grizzlies on Saturday.
The Orlando Florida summer league is 25-game, seven-day event featuring 10 teams. The other teams competing include the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder and two Orlando Magic squads.
Each team will play four games and then one more on the league’s championship day, July 10.
Each game with worth eight points. Teams score four points by winning a game and one point for every quarter they win. The two teams with the most points will play in the championship.
The Grizzlies’ first game will be Saturday against the Nets.
Memphis will then play the Hornets on Sunday, the Orlando Magic Blue team on Tuesday and the Thunder on Thursday.
The Orlando summer league games aren’t open to the public, but fans can watch the games online at nba.com/nbatv. Box scores and recaps will also be available at orlandomagic.com.
