    4:35 p.m. – A 51-year-old Los Alamos man reported that someone broke a window on his property on Oppenheimer Drive. The estimated loss is $2,000.

    5:10 p.m. – A 33-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that someone used her credit card without her authorization. The estimated loss is $300.

    4:38 p.m. – Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church reported that someone sprayed graffiti on the wall of the church. The estimated damage is unknown.

    6:30 p.m. — A 38-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that someone damaged the hood of her vehicle while it was parked at a residence in White Rock. The estimated loss is less than $1,000.

    12:24 a.m. – Joseph Farish, 18, of Los Alamos was arrested at 41st Street and Urban and charged with possession of marijuana after an investigation following a traffic stop.

    4:12 p.m. – Melquiades Cordova, 24, of Los Alamos was arrested on Aster Lane and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license based on a DWI conviction.

    5 p.m. – Jose Ruelas, 23, of Los Alamos was served a district court warrant while already incarcerated in the Los Alamos Detention Center.

    2:40 a.m. – Eric Carlson, 19, of Los Alamos was arrested on Bonnie View Road on an outstanding warrant from another jurisdiction following the investigation into reports of a suspicious vehicle.

    2:40 p.m. – UNM-Los Alamos reported an estimated $250 in grounds keeping equipment went missing. The equipment was later located.

    4:11 p.m. ­— A 78-year-old Los Alamos man reported being the victim of a forgery at 1200 Trinity Dr. The case is under investigation, no other information is available at this time. The estimated loss is $5,310.43.

  • Rivera Fire in the Jemez burns 10 acres

    A downed power line involved in the Rivera Fire in the Jemez has disrupted power to 40 residences in the Cerra del Pino area. Jemez Mountain Electric is on site.

    The Rivera Fire started at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday four miles west of Jemez Springs in Sandoval County.  No injuries have been reported.

    The fire has burned approximately 10 acres of ponderosa pine and mixed conifer.

    No structures are threatened and no evacuations are in place at this time.

    8:25 a.m. – A 79-year-old White Rock woman reported being a victim of larceny. The matter is under investigation. The estimated loss is $500.

    8:45 p.m. – Gregory Mack, 56, of Los Alamos was arrested on Oppenheimer Drive on a Municipal Court traffic warrant.
