The University of New Mexico-Los Alamos Advisory Board is set to elect new officers at their meeting set for 5:30 p.m. Monday at the campus Lecture Hall.

Currently, Nelson Hoffman serves as board chair and Michael Wismer as secretary. Linda Daly, Marie Chiravalle and Ron Dolin are members.

After careful consideration, Los Alamos National Laboratory Technical Staff Member (TSM) Vincent P. Chiravalle determined he has the time and energy necessary to devote to county council to make a positive difference in the community."I'm running for county council because I believe Los Alamos is a special place and I have the energy and ideas to keep it that way," he said.
