The State House redistricting trial got underway this past week in Santa Fe and many close to the situation said they did not believe a decision by Judge James Hall would be forthcoming until January.
“That’s what I have been hearing,” said Alvin Gentry (R-Albuquerque).
The good news for Los Alamos, though, is that every plan submitted to the judge keeps the county whole.
State Rep. James Hall (R-Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Sandoval), no relation to the judge, said, though, the county still is not out of the woods.
“The only changes in the plans are the precincts,” Hall said. “The judge can still change things and it is definitely out of everybody’s hands.”
