    June 11

    Joe Archuleta was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court on two counts of aggravated battery. He was ordered by the court to pay $126 in court fees and undergo a year of supervised probation.
    Probation conditions include:
    Defendant will obey all laws and not be arrested, indicted, charged or convicted of any other offense. Defendant will comply with all court ordered conditions of probation.
    Defendant shall make restitution as ordered. The defendant will pay restitution to the court for the victims up to $300 per victim. Defendant will continue VA treatment, six months weekly, as well as anger management classes.
    Defendant shall not possess or consume alcohol or enter a liquor establishment. Shall not possess a firearm, destructive device or weapon.

    June 12

    Kathrine Lea was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court of driving without insurance. She was fined $200 and ordered to pay $46 in court costs.

    Michael Barkhudarov was found guilty by the Los Alamos Municipal Court of stopping, standing or parking restricted or prohibited on certain streets.
    He was fined $50.

    Keith Stephens was found guilty by the Los Alamos Municipal Court of speeding 11 to 15 miles an hour over the speed limit. He was fined $75 and ordered to pay $46 in court costs.

    Patrick Connolly was found guilty of battery in Los Alamos Magistrate Court.
    Connolly was ordered to pay $73 in court costs and serve a six month probation.
    Probation conditions include:

Defendant to continue counseling until counsel or probation stop. Upon successful completion of deferral conditions charge(s) will be dismissed. Deferral period shall be sentence will be deferred after supervised probation is completed.

    Jason Minturn was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of selling or giving alcoholic beverages to a minor.
    Minturn was ordered to pay $73 in court costs

    Percinia War was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court on two counts of not being licensed as an operator/chauffeur, mandatory financial responsibility, driving with an expired registration, failure to pay, and six counts of failure to appear. She was fined a total of $575 and ordered to pay $506 in court costs.

    Margaret M. Harper was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court for following too closely, which resulted in an accident. Her sentence was deferred, and she was ordered to take a defensive driving class. She was ordered to pay $46 in court costs.

    Boris Rosev was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court for failing to yield/stop at stop sign, which resulted in an accident. He was ordered to take a defensive driving class, as well as fined $100 and ordered to pay $46 in court costs.

    Amanda Burnworth was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of disorderly conduct.
    The defendant has received a deferred sentence, and, upon successfully completing 182 days of supervised probation the charge will be dismissed. The record of the charge will still exist.
    She was ordered to pay $73 in fees, and must complete 30 hours of community service.

    Kyle Elliot was found guilty in Los Alamos Magistrate Court of disorderly conduct.
    The defendant has received a deferred sentence, and, upon successfully completing 182 days of unsupervised probation the charge will be dismissed. The record of the charge will still exist.
    He was ordered to pay $73 in fees, and must complete 20 hours of community service.

    Rachael Hartford was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court of failure to appear in court (non-traffic). She was fined $25 and ordered to pay $41 in court costs.

    Matthew S. Voss was found guilty in Los Alamos Municipal Court of speeding between 16 and 20 miles an hour over the posted speed limit. His sentence was deferred until July 21. He was ordered to pay $46 in court costs, and must complete community service hours and defensive driving school.

  • Jodi Arias says she prefers death penalty--Video Extra

    PHOENIX (AP) — Jodi Arias spent 18 days on the stand sharing intimate, emotional and oftentimes X-rated details of her life before a rapt television and online audience. She had hoped it all might convince a jury that she killed her one-time boyfriend in self-defense.

    But the eight men and four women on the panel didn't buy it, convicting Arias of first-degree murder after only about 15 hours of deliberations. Jurors will return to court Thursday to begin the next phase of the trial that could set the stage for Arias receiving a death sentence — a penalty she, herself, said she now desires in a stunning interview following her conviction.

    Arias talked to Fox affiliate KSAZ in the courthouse minutes after she was convicted. With tears in her eyes, she said she was overwhelmed and surprised because she didn't believe she committed first-degree murder.

    "It was unexpected for me, yes, because there was no premeditation on my part," she said.

    Arias also told the station she would "prefer to die sooner than later" and that "death is the ultimate freedom."
