Looking for something interesting to do today? The Los Alamos Piecemakers are having their 2015 Quilt Show today and Saturday at the Crossroads Bible Church, 97 E. Road. Vendors from all over New Mexico will be on hand. Tickets for adults are $2 and children are free.
The L.A. Piecemakers alternate each September between with a Quilt Show and Quilt Market. Shelly Kuropatwinski, owner of the new Atomic City Quilts, is the chairperson for this year’s Quilt Show.
Quilt Guild members have made quilted items that will be on display. Bed Quilts, table runners, placemats, wall hangings and wearable items are just a few of the things on display.
The donation quilt this year is entitled "Ravena" and was pieced by Donna Smith and quilted by Nicole Dunn. This beautiful quilt will be raffled off at 3:30 p.m. on the day of the Show. Tickets for a chance to win the quilt will be on sale at the show.
There will also be a Silent Auction at the Quilt Show. Winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. on the day of the Show.
