It was a tense morning for White Rock residents Friday as police started spreading the word that a juvenile suspect was possibly armed and on the run and in the area.
What the juvenile was running from, or what the situation was about still remains unclear.
According to eyewitnesses, the situation started at a residence on Grand Canyon Drive around 7:30 a.m.
Police immediately put out a description to the media, saying they were looking for a young male in dark clothing that was 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and had hair down to his shoulders.
Police spent approximately two hours questioning people on Grand Canyon as well as canvassing entire neighborhoods looking for the suspect. They also put out a warning to the media recommending that all White Rock residents stay inside their homes until the situation was resolved.
Around 10:30 a.m. police apprehended the suspect on Rover Boulevard. After he was arrested, he was taken away in an ambulance.
