’Topper students showed up to enhance relationship and communication skills with Assets In Action during lunch recently. The teens will attempt to enhance their chances prior to try outs for positions in various groups.
Jim O’Donnell of the Reel Deal Theater hopes to see a little more foot traffic this weekend in his efforts to produce change, with the movie, “Bully.”
“I think the message of ‘Bully’ is one that has needed to be brought to the forefront for a long time,” O’Donnell said. “When I was growing up, to be bullied or be the bully was the norm. It was terrible.”
The public is invited to visit The Santa Fe Opera from 10 a.m.-noon May 19 for a behind-the-scenes look at “Tosca,” the opera that opens the 2012 Festival Season. The Open House is ideal for the opera novice and aficionado, or simply for the curious, to see what it takes to make an opera come to life. Visitors will be able to walk on the stage and through scenery elements. They will have the opportunity to imagine for themselves what performers face every night — 2,000 pairs of eyes.
