  • ‘Bad meets evil’ on Eminem’s latest effort

“Bad Meets Evil: Hell The Sequel” is the latest installment of rappers Eminem and Royce da 5’9’s ever-growing catalogs.
In the late 1990’s, Detroit rappers Eminem and Royce came together to form the band Bad Meets Evil.  After Disputes with Eminem’s group D12, Royce left in the early 2000s to pursue a solo career and later form the band Slaughterhouse, while Eminem continued work with his producer former N.W.A. member Dr. Dre on his record label Aftermath Entertainment.

  • Fashion Maven: Set sail with the new ‘sailor’ look

Okay, everybody loves the latest fashion trends, especially in the summer. I am a trend freak and am always looking for the next “in” thing.
In the past month, I have cottoned on to one of the best trends to hit the stores yet: the on-the-ship sailor trend.
It is being worn by teens and adults around the world, touching base with brands like Tommy Hilfiger, who has now called it his new “prep look.”
This new sailor look is made up of three basic colors: dark navy blue, red and white. It is accented with beige, white, or black, but only in little doses.
Stripes are the main pattern and they usually are either worn on top as a shirt, or on the bottom as a skirt, pants, or high-waisted shorts.

  • ‘Deathly Hallows’ is action-packed

Posters and commercials for the final Harry Potter movie announce, “It all ends.” On July 15, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2,” opened in North America.
The movie began exactly where it left off in part one. Harry Potter, (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) still have to find and destroy four “horcruxes,” or “pieces of Lord Voldemort’s (Ralph Fiennes), soul” in order to defeat him.
Most of the movie takes place at Hogwarts School of Wizards and Wizardry, where Professor Severus Snape (Allan Rickman) is now headmaster. Voldemort, even more evil than in previous movies, is still trying to find and kill Harry.

  • ‘Cars 2’ serves up the action overseas

Spies and espionage aren’t exactly what you’d expect from an animated Disney movie, but that’s exactly what you’ll find in “Cars 2.”
The Pixar computer-animated film released on June 24 is the sequel to the 2006 film, “Cars.” Unlike the original film, however, “Cars 2” is set in Japan, Italy and England.
The characters participate in a World Grand Prix race and unwittingly get involved in espionage.
Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is challenged to race in the World Grand Prix by a popular Italian racecar, Francesco Burnoulli (voiced by John Tuturro).

  • CHWC teaches teens about service

Helping others and gaining nothing in return may seem like a waste of time to some people, but at Catholic Heart Work Camp, that’s exactly what high school students do.
Every year, teenagers from around the country head to a major city to share their love of Jesus and serve the neglected through participating in CHWC.
For one week in June, 22 Los Alamos High School students from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church loaded into four vans with five chaperons and headed to Denver, Colo.
They met at 6 a.m. June 12 and after seven hours, they arrived at Ranum High School in Denver. The school would be home base for the next six days. There they met over 400 student and chaperone camp participants.

  • A chance to meet the governor

Teen Pulse Staff Member Sebastian Garcia met Gov. Susana Martinez on July 3. Martinez was at the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series on the Plaza de Española, where she briefly spoke to attendees and evacuees of the Las Conchas Fire.

  • Fashion maven: Showing off the versatile skirt

I absolutely adore skirts, especially in the summer. They can be colorful, voluminous, comfortable, and they can be worn well with heaps of accessories.
Believe it or not, skirts can actually be just as flattering as a pair of perfect skinny jeans,
The best skirts are ones that end just above, or two inches above the knee and float outward from the hip. T
hese are called short A-line skirts. Usually, since the skirt moves outward from the hip, it has tiny little pleats just underneath the waistband to add a little volume. This type of skirt volume will enhance your legs.
