  • Join block party at White Rock Baptist

The White Rock Baptist Church is throwing a “block party” for the whole town from 2-5 p.m. Sept. 28.
The public can go to the Health Fair in the morning and then drive to the big parking lot on Highway 4, just up the hill from Sherwood Drive, for a great time of fun and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the afternoon with friends and family.
At the Block Party you’ll find popcorn, cotton candy, Sno-cones, balloons and much more. The famous bubble pit, water slide, and bounce houses will be on hand, as well as games and prizes and face painting for the kids and grandkids. The Orbitron is always a hit with old and young alike. A barbecue dinner with the fixin’s, followed by dessert will commence at 6 p.m.
There is no admission charge and almost everything is free. Just come on over, relax, let the kids play, eat some genuine junk food — it’s good for the soul!
This party is simply a gift from the church to the community, an event in which neighbors are invited to pause in the midst of a busy life, get together for a bit, and celebrate the good things with which we have been blessed.
