    Deacon Diane Figge, or “DD,” as she likes to be called, will be ordained as a priest at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church (TOTH) at 7 p.m. Sept. 24.
    The Assisting Bishop of the Diocese of the Rio Grande, the Right Reverend Dr. William C. Frey, will celebrate this event and Diocesan Bishop Elect, the Reverend Dr. Michael L. Vono, will preach.

    Amanda Pabian of Los Alamos has accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

  • Engagements

    Peter and Jodi Pazuchanics are proud to announce the engagement of their youngest daughter, Fawn Pazuchanics, to Scott Hanson, son of Steve and Barb Hanson.
    The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Los Alamos High School and received her bachelor’s of science degree in anthropology and bachelor’s of arts degree in English from the University of New Mexico in 2006.
    The groom-to-be is a 2008 graduate of the University of New Mexico with a business administration degree in management information systems.

  • 50th Anniversary

    Perry and Concha Collier
    Perry and Concha Collier of White Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 23rd, 2010.
    The Couple met at Los Alamos where they were both employed by the Los Alamos National Laboratory until they both retired.
    They were married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque New Mexico, where Concha was born and raised.    Perry Sr. was raised in East Texas. He came to NM in 1959 to work at the lab.  They have one son, Perry Jr. who lives in Escondido, CA
     

  • One of original Navajo Code Talkers dies in Ariz.

    WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. (AP) — Allen Dale June, one of the 29 original Navajo Code Talkers who confounded the Japanese during World War II by transmitting messages in their native language, has died. He was 91.

    June died of natural causes Wednesday night at a veterans hospital in Prescott, his wife, Virginia, told The Associated Press on Thursday.
