     Los Alamos Public Schools Superintendent Gene Schmidt and former teacher Kelly Myers will present the findings of almost a year-long effort on a long range planning report during the monthly League of Women Voters Lunch with a Leader meeting. The meeting will be from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Central Avenue Grill. RSVP to League President Barbara Calef, 662-3825 or bfcalef@yahoo.com by Feb. 9.

    A Love Stinks party for teens ages 13-18 will be from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Mesa Public Library.

    need funds
    Students at Barranca Elementary are collecting funds to help fix their basketball court and build a new court. Monetary donations may be made to help fund the project, or bricks may be purchased for $100. Those who purchase bricks may have their names engraved on them. Mail donations to Mrs. McGrane’s 6th Grade Class, Barranca Elementary, 57 Loma Del Escolar, Los Alamos, NM 87544, or contact McGrane at n.mcgrane@laschools.net, for more information.
