    The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series presents, “Winnie the Pooh,” at 7 p.m. in the White Rock Town Hall.

    The Authors Speak Series presents “David Stuart: People of the Pajarito Plateau,” at 7 p.m. in the upstairs rotunda. The event is being held one week earlier due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

    The Los Alamos Democratic Party featured speaker will be  Donald Morris, a longtime Los Alamos Democrat. He will speak at 7 p.m. at Mesa Public Library. All are welcome to attend.

    The Major General Franklin E. Miles Chapter 229 of the Military Order of World Wars in Los Alamos announces New Mexico Legislative District 43 Rep. Jim Hall, who will present a talk on the recently completed special session of the New Mexico Legislature at the Chapter’s November dinner meeting. The meeting will be today at the Best Western Hilltop House, third floor. The meeting will begin with a social period at 6 p.m., followed by a brief business meeting and dinner at 6:25 p.m. Hall’s talk will begin at about 7:15 p.m.

    Music

    Lads of Enchantment, a chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, invites the public to join them in song. They meet at 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays at the United Church of Los Alamos, Graves Hall.  

    The Los Alamos Choral Society is currently recruiting singers for the 2011—2012 concert season. Rehearsals are from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the United Church, 2525 Canyon Road. All singers are welcome.
     
    The Los Alamos Community Winds invites all interested musicians to join its upcoming concerts. The LACW rehearses from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays. www.lacw.org.

    Arts and crafts fair

    The Zia Arts, Crafts and Gifts Festival will be Nov. 18-20. Show hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. The show will be at the Expo New Mexico Manuel Lujan Exhibit Complex. Admission is $6 and children younger than 15 are admitted for free.
