    Art openings

    Zane Bennett Contemporary Arts announces a video installation and exhibition of prints by Santa Fe artist Mitchell Marti. Also showing are works that reflect Baltimore artist Soledad Salameé’s passion for the Earth’s natural resources. The shows open April 27 and continues through May 18. The reception will be from 5-7 p.m. at the gallery, 435 S. Guadalupe St.

    2012 Music on the Hill Concert Series Benefit will be at 6 p.m. April 3 at Il Piatto, 95 W. Marcy St. Il Piatto will donate 20 percent of the evening’s restaurant sales to benefit 2012 Music on the Hill.

     Campbell’s is offering an incentive for the month of March. For every five Campbell’s soup labels Ponderosa Montessori collects, they will get 100 extra points. Soup labels should be dropped off at Ponderosa Montessori, 304 Rover Blvd., by March 28.

    The Los Alamos Community of Atheists will host a community discussion in Room 1 of the Mesa Public Library at 6:30 p.m. The discussion topic is: “Finding Truth: Are Science and Religion Compatible?” As a primer for the discussion, participants are encouraged to read two recent Huffington Post articles: “Science, religion incompatible?” and “The Fall of foolish faith,” both published March 9. All are welcome.

    The Los Alamos Choral Society is recruiting singers. Rehearsals are from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the United Church, 2525 Canyon Road. All singers are welcome.
