 The Los Alamos Community of Atheists will host a discussion about atheism-related books. Do you have a favorite book you’d like to tell us about? The LA Democratic County Party Convention is at 7 p.m. at Fuller Lodge. They will elect ward, precinct, and county leaders. All registered Dems are encouraged to meet candidates running for state offices and just have fun. Call Mike Wheeler 662-5577 for more information.
Thursday
The Piñon Elementary Book Fair will be from 7:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m. March 28; and from 7:30-11 a.m. March 29. There will also be an online book fair. Log on to bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/pinonelemsch.

Club Anime will meet from 4-5 p.m. at Mesa Public Library. Club Anime is for ages 13-19. Come watch some anime and enjoy ramen with other snacks.

The Los Alamos Table Tennis Club meets from 7:30-10 p.m. Tuesdays; and from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturdays, at the Betty Ehart Senior Center, lower level. On Tuesday, there is a fee of $2 per player. The next meeting of the Los Alamos Geological Society will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 92 East Road. The featured speaker will be Shari Kelley,  a geophysicist and field geologist at the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources in Socorro and an adjunct professor of geology at New Mexico Tech. Her talk is titled, “Timing of the incision of the Grand Canyon from a unique perspective.”
Wednesday
The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board meeting scheduled for March 20 is canceled because of schedule conflicts. The Juvenile Justice Advisory Board’s next meeting will be at 6 p.m. April 17 in Building #1, Camino Entrada Road, Pajarito Cliffs Site. The public is welcome to attend.
Thursday
The White Rock Family Friendly Film Series featuring “Wreck-it Ralph,” will be at 6:30 p.m. at the White Rock Town Hall.

New Mexico Consortium: Talk by Dr. Richard Sayre, director, at 7 p.m. at PEEC. Talk sponsored by Los Alamos Sustainable Energy Network.

The March Atomic Film Festival featuring “On the Beach,” will be at 7 p.m. in Fuller Lodge. The Atomic Film Festival, held every other month except in the summer when it is held monthly, is free and open to the public, with support from Dr. Arthur Montoya, DDS and Re/MAX Los Alamos.
