St. Clair – Zelda Geneith St. Clair of Caon City, Colo., 81, died June 28, 2008, at St. Thomas More Hospital. She was born April 15, 1927, in Anderson, Ind., to Paul Loraine and Sallie Irene (Richards) Cheatham. In 1929, the Cheatham family moved to Caon City where Zelda grew up, graduating from Caon City High School in 1945.
After high school, she worked for two years at the Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah. She then worked a number of jobs in Denver, Colo.; Caon City, Colo.; and Midland, Texas. In 1952, she moved to Los Alamos, N.M., and began working for the National Laboratory as a keypunch operator. In 1954, she married Roy St. Clair and raised a family in Los Alamos. She retired from the National Laboratory in 1985 and returned to Caon City in July 1985.
She is survived by her sons: Bryan St. Clair of Waitsburg, Wash., and his children Kalie and Scott; Mark St. Clair of Lake Stevens, Wash., and his children Alexis, Adam and Paris; and Robert St. Clair of Seattle, Wash., and his children Nathaniel and Jonathan. She is also survived by her nephews Alan Ralston, Mike Ralston and Steve Ralston; and her niece, Irene Ralston, and by countless friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Gayle St. Clair, her parents Paul and Irene Cheatham, and her sister, Althea Ralston.
